Chapter 13 Encounter

ps: Thank you for your rewards and support

"I haven't let you go yet." The female voice was a little angry.

Ron and Harry were frightened and found themselves not running forward but retreating, clearly heading towards the narrow door of the church, but in the end they were walking towards the depths of the cemetery without being obedient.

"Harry, think of a solution!"

"The curse is stopped!"

Harry used this spell in his busy schedule, but it did not work. Obviously, the other party was not using ordinary magic.

"Harry, we won't die here for no reason." Ron cried.

"Listen, Ron, I count to three, we cast each other's petrification spell."

"What did you say?"

“Do as I said, 1, 2, 3!”

"Everything is petrified!"

"Everything is petrified!"

This time the spell worked, and the obedient legs stopped, and Harry and Ron stood stiffly.

"Okay, Harry, we've done the first step, but how should we get out next?" Ron's expression eased a little.

"I don't know either, but we should be safe for the time being." Harry said, "Since it was the voice that controlled us to walk deep into the cemetery, it means she was not able to come out to find us."

"This is not sure, my little cuties." The female voice suddenly became vicious, hoarse like a crow's cry, no longer as pleasant as before.

Harry and Ron felt all their hair stand up, as if fear would come at any time, but they could not do anything at this moment.

Suddenly, a warm light exploded in front of the two of them, and followed by a lazy voice - "Sunshine and Flame!"

A sharp wail came from the depths of the tomb, and then there was no breath.

"Who saved us?" Ron said.

"I don't know." Harry narrowed his eyes, trying to see who cast a spell to save them, and his wish was soon fulfilled.

"What are you doing with petrified yourself?"

"Jack, it's you, thank goodness." Ron breathed a sigh of relief. "Help Harry and I lift the spell, we almost died at the hands of that monster."

"Not necessarily." Silver said in a teasing tone, "The Crow Ghost Woman doesn't always kill her prey. An unlucky wizard was turned into a stone statue by the Crow Ghost Woman and used as an ornament in the cemetery for a year."

He lit the wand at the two of them and lifted the petrification curse.

"Crow Ghost Woman? Are you saying that the voice is Crow Ghost Woman? What is that?" Ron asked.

"A dangerous undead creature is very rare. Legend has it that it is a half-human and half-bird monster turned into a witch who practices black witchcraft. However, the legend is not reliable. She may have a closer relationship with the dementor. Go quickly. I can't kill a crow ghost, she will recover soon."

Silver's words made Harry and Ron very nervous, and they hurriedly walked out of the cemetery.

Walking to the door and stepping onto the slippery stone road, Harry and Ron felt relieved.

At this time, Harry finally had the opportunity to interrogate Silver.

"Silver, how could you come here?"

"Oh, it's a coincidence that I came to visit an elder who lived here alone. When I came, I found something moving in the cemetery. So I came over and take a look."

"What elder? It seems that there are no wizards living here."

"Your message is obviously inaccurate, Potter,."

"Wait, I seem to have seen this name somewhere." Ron looked like he was thinking hard.

"In the magic history textbook. Ron." Silver said, "She knows a lot about the past. Why are you here? If you know, school is about to start."

"Uh. I want to meet my parents." Harry said. "Ron came with me."

"A totally legitimate reason, Potter," said Silver, "but I still have to remind you. Dangers in the wizarding world are everywhere, just like the Crow Ghost just now, you can't handle these things."

Harry didn't say anything, after all, Silver saved him just now.

"Godric Valley is a wizard settlement with hundreds of years of history. The cemetery here buried many ancient wizard families. Many wizard families died here, and it would produce evil things like Crow Ghost Witch. The chapel here has been full of ghost stories for centuries. If you want to find traces of your parents' existence, she watched many people grow up, including Dumbledore, and your father." Silver said.

Harry was stunned for a moment, and he remembered the name on the tombstone, and a desire to understand Dumbledore emerged in his heart.

"Don't be busy making decisions, you'd better go and see the ruins of the old house of Porter, which was once your home." Silver pointed to a shadow at the end of a row of houses. "I'll wait for you here."

Harry looked at Silver and walked towards the direction that Silver pointed.

"Harry—Look," Ron said.

Harry saw it. In the sixteen years after Hagrid took Harry out of the ruins, the hedges had grown in a mess, with rubble buried among waist-deep weeds. Most of the house was still standing there, completely covered by dark ivy and snow, but the right side of the top room was blown up.

"Why no one re-fixed it?" Harry whispered.

"Maybe it can't be rebuilt, right?" Harry replied.

He stretched out a hand and grabbed the rusty iron door. He didn't want to open it, but just wanted to hold part of the house.

"You won't want to go in, are you? It looks unsafe, maybe-oh Harry, look!"

It seemed as if his hand was brought to the door: a wooden sign rose from the ground in front of them, emerged from the messy nettles and weeds, like some strange, rapidly growing flower. The golden letters on the sign read:

Their son Harry is the only wizard who survived the Slaying Curse.

The Muggle-invisible house was preserved as it was, commemorating the Porters and warning of the violence that destroyed their family.

Next to these neat handwriting, there are various inscriptions written by wizards who came to see the escape from death of "The Boy Who Escapes". Some only wrote their names in never-fading ink, some engraved the initials of their names on wooden signs, and some wrote messages.

Harry saw the latest message, like Dumbledore's handwriting.
