Chapter 434: Confessions

Black Bear showed Jin Chi the method he had learned over the past few days. He took a thin-mouthed bottle, then concentrated his magic power to teleport out the evil thought sealed in his body, put it into the bottle, and finally plugged the bottle mouth.

After seeing the old man, Jin Chi burst into tears. Black bear's cultivation had far surpassed him. He was really happy for him.

Then under the surprised gaze of the black bear, Jin Chi took out the contract fifty years ago and tore it apart in front of the black bear: "Old friend, I have a premonition that my life is approaching, and I am afraid that it will not last for another month. I can use this life to lead you on the right path. This life is worth it, and I will die without regrets."

The black bear also cried and burst into tears. He shook his head and said, "No, Jinchi still has a long time to guide me and teach me. I will teach you how to prolong your life and live forever. You won't leave so quickly."

So with the help of Black Bear, Jin Chi learned the ability to prolong his life and became the most respected monk in Guanyin Zen Temple. Black Bear often went down the mountain to help people get rid of evil thoughts and do good deeds and accumulate virtues. He would recite scriptures and preach the Dharma to birds and beasts in the mountains like Jin Chi did back then. Over time, more and more wild beasts that were influenced by scriptures worshipped under Black Bear and became his disciples.

However, human evil thoughts cannot be eliminated. Old evil thoughts are driven away, and new evil thoughts will arise again. Over time, the entire black wind tunnel is filled with bottles for human evil thoughts. There is no way, Jinchi can only put the new bottle in Guanyin Zen Temple. He asked the black bear to chisel a basement in his dormitory and store the bottles in it.

The two old guys worked together to temporarily solve this matter. However, Jin Chi believed that this was not a long-term solution. There was good and there was evil, and it was impossible to eradicate it. If this continued, when would it end?

Therefore, Jin Chi told Black Bear his thoughts. He believed that the popularization of Buddhist scriptures should be strengthened to make people develop the habit of chanting scriptures every day so that they can cure the root cause. Black Bear also thought this was feasible, so he discussed with Jin Chi that they held regular chanting meetings in the village to let people attend. The monks of Guanyin Zen Temple and the monsters in the Baek Wind Cave worked together to do this.

But the effect is really poor. People often use the excuse of saying "There is still a lot of farm work to do in the field, and they don't have time to listen to monks chanting scriptures" and refuse to attend the conference.

For this reason, Jinchi and Heixiong had a falling out. The former believed that they should continue to persevere and one day they would influence them; the latter believed that what the villagers said made sense. They were busy living and had no time to recite scriptures, so they could only continue to use the old ways to help them.

"Then when are you going to do this!"

"Until I die!"

After having an unhappy relationship with Black Bear, Jin Chi came to the basement of the dormitory alone. Looking at the rows of bottles placed in front of him, he closed his eyes and pondered.

Finally, Jin Chi made a decision, and he would start with these evil thoughts and eliminate them one by one! So he opened a bottle with his trembling hands and released the evil thoughts inside...

"Why is the wife of the old Li family next door so beautiful? I was so blind that I married this yellow-faced woman with a bad temper and ugly appearance!"

"Why are there no wild animals in his field making trouble? Did he make a fuss in my field?"

"I dare to say that he is a bastard in front of my son. I will burn your house today!"

...

One evil thought after another came out of the bottle, floating around the golden pool, telling him his evil and naked thoughts.

Jinchi clasped his hands together and recited scriptures for these evil thoughts, trying to influence them.

However, Jin Chi would not have thought that this was the only wrong decision he made in his life, because he did not have such great cultivation to eliminate these evil thoughts, but instead was eroded by them, and he became a container of evil thoughts.

After listening to the land telling the story of Jinchi and Black Bear, Wukong returned to Guanyin Zen Temple. He came to Elder Jinchi's dormitory and found a basement there.

On the other hand, Zhang Yang was caught by the black bear demon and the entire cave was filled with mountain beasts coming to watch. They heard that a Taoist monk came from the Tang Dynasty in Dongtu, and they all wanted to listen to him recite scriptures.

Zhang Yang was very embarrassed. This was the first time he met a monster on the way to obtain the scriptures. He encountered so many things, such as black bear, leopard, jackal, wild dog, rabbit, tit, wild boar, frog, and a giant monster who pushed into a sperm surrounded him, staring at him with big eyes, as if light could be emitted from his eyes.

The black bear spirit prepared good tea, fruit and snacks, and said to Zhang Yang: "Saint monk, there are so many Buddhist children sitting around you now. Can you tell them the scriptures and attract wisdom?"

Zhang Yang looked confused. If he admitted that he could not recite scriptures, would these monsters cook him and eat him? Zhang Yang couldn't imagine this scene, so he could only pretend to start searching in his mind, and he should be able to say something.

"Namo Amitabha..." After saying that, he glanced around and found that they were nothing unusual, so he kept chanting this sentence: "Namo Amitabha..."

After listening for a while, the black bear spirit asked blankly: "Holy Monk? Are there any other words?"

Zhang Yang coughed awkwardly and said, "Of course there is, I am a holy monk, listen."

"Each of us has sins, and we have committed different sins. I can decide who is right and who should sleep... The kind father I have fallen and cannot see the kingdom of sin clearly. Please forgive my conceit. No one can say no one can say it. It is so unbearable. Behind the glory is a loneliness..."

When Zhang Yang sang Jay Chou's "In the Name of Father", the monsters around him were stunned. They had never seen such scriptures, and their tone was weird and they couldn't understand them at all.

Seeing Zhang Yang endlessly, the black bear spirit hurriedly stopped him: "Holy Monk? What kind of sutra are you chanting? I have never heard of it."

Zhang Yang said a serious nonsense: "The scriptures you recite are all Hinayana Buddhism in Hinayana Buddhism, and the sutra I recite is Mahayana Buddhism in Mahayana Buddhism, and even Tathagata can't recite it."

Zhang Yang's words scared the black bear spirit. The man who came to the scriptures dared to speak out about the name of Buddha Tathagata. He hurriedly asked: "You must not be a holy monk. You are also a Buddhist disciple. Why are you so arrogant and disobeying Buddha Tathagata?"

Disobeying the Buddha of Tathagata? Zhang Yang shook his head; "I don't have one, who dares to scold him? Are you looking for death?"

Black bear said, "Isn't it just a disobedience to speak out about the name of Buddha? You are not afraid that the Buddha will blame you and punish you."

Zhang Yang smiled and explained: "You are also a Buddhist. Of course, you know that I am merciful. Since I am merciful, I should not blame me. I just said the name of Tathagata without intention and did not scold him. This is not a disobedience."
